Picking the fabric is the most important thing, you’ll either pick the same fabric from the gown for your hijab or a complimenting one. It’s also important to choose a fabric that fits with the style and weather. For example, if your wedding is in the summer, try considering a fabric that is light in nature so you don’t feel overly hot and flustered especially if the venue is outdoor. If it’s on a windy day, try to make sure the fabric is secure so it doesn’t get loose throughout the night and you don’t have to retouch it every hour or so. Silk, satin and embroidered headscarves are go too, and remember to invest in quality.

Choosing the colour of hijab is also a tricky aspect when it comes to styling the hijab for your wedding, most people think white is the way to go. However, if you have a more pale complexion you’ll find that the white hijab will often cause you to look washed out or ghostly. Feel free to add a pop to your hijab colours to let your overall look stand out. We’re not saying hot pink, but maybe a rose gold satin layer between two sheer, or maybe a champagne colour to break the pearl layers. There are no rules to the colour choices and if they match the dress then you don’t have a problem.
