Almost every bride we know of has made at least two of these wedding day mistakes and deeply regrets it. Most say they were so busy trying to look perfect and going with the motion that they forgot to stay in the moment and enjoy their big day. Because your wedding day is one of the most important days in your life, we've gathered the top mistakes every bride-to-be should avoid:

- Running out of time

Almost every bride goes through this. Makeup takes too long or getting into that big dress takes half an hour out of your wedding photo session, now you're stressed. You don't want to spend your special day rushing or end up skipping something important, so give yourself more time than necessary.

- Stressing and planning

At a certain point, you'll have to surrender control and simply enjoy. Put yourself first, take a deep breath, and soak it in. Your friends and family got your back, there's no need to stress. You don't want to look back at your wedding and remember nothing because you were so concerned about the color of the napkins.

- Skipping meals

In all the chaos, eating is the last thing on anyone's mind. However, as the bride, you'll be carrying that heavy dress, loads of anxiety, and a lot of dancing under heavy lights. The last thing you want on your wedding day is to feel dizzy or light-headed. Make sure you start your big day with a full breakfast and lunch. Also, you'll have plenty of downtime between makeup and hair, sneak in some snacks.

- Forgetting to bring flats

Don't prioritize looks over comfort. Your wedding shoes might not be the most forgiving after standing in them all day. Popping on a flat under your dress during or after the night will keep you happier and going on longer.  Avoid this wedding day mistake by also packing a comfy outfit or robe to change into from your dress at end.

- Not talking to the guests

Don't forget to greet your guest and thank them for sharing this special moment with you. Your guests are not just front-row audience, so make them feel included.

 Expecting everything to be perfect

Finally, every girl has Cinderella dream of a wedding that can get a bit unrealistic. No amount of planning will make your wedding day perfect, and that's OK. Having a fairytale wedding is not the goal of your union ship with your lover. Always have a plan b in mind and be flexible for things not completely meeting your expectations.
