The Dos & Don’ts of Bridal Manicure

Large

Choosing a color of nail polish only constitutes half your battle, the other half lies in in the proper care you give to your nails. Nail care doesn’t begin before the wedding, if anything, you should always be attentive to your nails and their needs. If you always take care of your nails in regards to their look and hygiene, then you won’t really have to put so much effort in making them look decent before your wedding. If you find yourself unsure of how to properly treat your nails, there’s no need to panic because we’ve brought the necessary steps to you, our bride:

Do: Try different colors

Why not try out various nail polish colors in order to see what suits your complexion best? Forget what’s in right now or the latest nail trend that everybody’s obsessed with on Instagram. You need to find a color that speaks to you and to your personality without paying much attention to what others will think of it. You’re the bride, you do you.

Do: Buy more than one bottle of your chosen color

When you decide on the nail polish color that you want to wear on your big day, it’s best to buy more than one bottle of it to be on the safe side. What if you rummaged so hard to find that particular shade of purple only to lose or misplace the one bottle you bought of that color? Always stay ahead of things.

Do: Stick to a regular nail care routine

Nail care, before anything, starts at home. Cut and file your nails regularly, carefully cleanse them, nourish them with vitamins, creams, and oils that feed both your nails and your cuticle, soak them in lemon water to give them strength, and finally, always keep a nail file in your bag for urgent grinding or shaping.

Don’t: Use any nail care tools or equipment that aren’t yours

The dangers of using manicure & pedicure tools that aren’t yours are far too many for you to even risk something that you can so easily avoid. Using mani & pedi tools that aren’t yours may lead to your infection with Virus C. Buy your own kit and always make sure to sterilize it after each use. No woman should ever risk her own health, not even for her wedding day.

Don’t: Rely on the nail polish colors at the beauty salon alone

If you’re going to paint your nails at a nail bar, center or beauty salon, you’re going to want to purchase a bottle of the used color because who knows what could happen the moment you leave your trusted nail master or throughout the day.

Don’t: Go trying out something that is entirely new to you

Do not wait until the day of your wedding to completely reshape your nails or try nail caviar or let the person responsible for your nails handle their design. Take matters into your own hands and plan ahead if you don’t want to immediately regret your decision. You’re the bride, you want to feel comfortable, happy, and satisfied. Save the impulsiveness for later.

Don’t: Forget to moisturize afterward

Keep a mini hand cream on you throughout the day, especially if you’re someone who’s big on moisturizing, if not, then try it out because who knows? You might find yourself adopting a healthy new habit.
