The Bride: Your Daily Self-Care Routine

1 month before the wedding

Large

The big day is approaching and almost everything is ready, but are you? Taking care of yourself is a huge part of getting ready for the wedding, especially when you only have 1 month to get started on your bridal self-care routine until the bell rings. Here’s your guide on how to fully handle that final month before the new chapter begins:

1. Hair

If you decide to change your hair color, do it at least 2 weeks before the wedding (AT LEAST). If you’re planning on using extensions, then this is the time to get on with it. Also, try to avoid any major changes in your hair during this period, like chopping it off.

2. Sleep

If you don’t have the greatest sleeping pattern, this is the time to do everything in your hands to get 8 hours of sleep per night. If you're having trouble falling asleep, you can always go for natural methods, like drinking chamomile or milk and exercising before bed. You need your 8 consecutive hours of sleep.

3. Tanning

The best way is always the natural way. Tanning under the sun to obtain that dewy bronze color is also great for your bones and skin because of vitamin D. However, if you’re going to sunbathe, you need to stay safe and use sunscreen to protect your skin from the harmful ultraviolet rays.

4. Teeth care

Teeth whitening has become a must before tying the knot, mainly because people want to look their best on their wedding day, especially in photographs. Before your wedding, you want to polish and scale your teeth, which is a definite priority. Whitening is always an option that you can add.

5. Getting in shape

If you’ve already started on your self-care routine that you’re so close to getting the shape that you want and working out has become part of who you are, intensify your training during the last month. For instance: if you hit the gym 3 times a week, make it 5. This will also help you in bettering your sleeping pattern. However, if you’re considered a beginner, it’s better to go easy on yourself during that final month before the wedding.
