Large

Staycations are sounding so much more appealing as you start reading the news these days. Why risk going out and making such a fuss when you can stay indoors and plan a fun packed day together. From just lounging around to making the most out of your day home, it’s no lie that we enjoy those lazy days a lot more after a busy week, and what’s better than a staycation then a staycation with the person you love.

That’s why we’ve combined some staycation ideas that are sure to keep you entertained and relaxed.

Making A Meal Together

This is at the top of the list because nothing is more romantic than cooking together. Even if one person is cooking and the other person is just standing there keeping them company, there is something very soothing and romantic about cooking together. You feel like you are doing a joint effort project, and you get to enjoy the rewards afterwards. An added reward is you can spend a few hours together if you are making something complex or a multiple course meal. For the couples that aren’t very skilled with making meals, try baking a few cupcakes instead.

Game Night

Yes, that feels like a thing from the past, but board games can be really fun if you're looking to pass the time and get into relaxing hobby. A nice round of scrabble or a competitive round of monopoly is sure to pass the time and be a fun activity to enjoy when it at home. The best thing is that these games can go on for hours or minutes depending on your mood of course. Also if you are not the board game type, maybe just some cards will do.

Movie Night

You can’t say staycation without saying movie night. It’s the ideal pairing, what’s better than cuddling up and watching your favourite movie while enjoying a relaxing, low effort vacation? From the endless options of what to watch to the comfy blankets and cuddles, and who can forget the hot chocolate and popcorn? Movie nights will always be one of our favourite past times.

Taking A Walk

So this technically doesn’t count as a staycation but it still is important because walks are great for the soul. Taking walks together around your neighborhood, holding hands. If you are an active couple you can cycle together, all great options to change up your day so you are not sitting at home during the entirety of your vacation. Also going out for walks are great opportunities for photo ops whether together or alone.
