The Royal Jordanian Court announced the marriage of the 34-year-old Princess Raiyah Bint Al-Hussein, half-sister of Jordan's King Abdullah the second, and the youngest of Queen Nour's, from the British journalist Fares Ned Donovan, 26, and grandson of the British novelist and short story writer Roald Dahl.

Queen Nour, the mother of the bride, was one of the first attendees to arrive at the ceremony. The royal wedding was simple with only a few family members present; following the procedures of keeping social distancing as a precaution against Coronavirus

For her special day, Princess Raiyah looked beautifully elegant in her long-sleeved delicate lace wedding gown embroidered with intricate beading and floral appliqué and matched with a long bridal veil. The princess wore a crown set with diamond stones centered with a blue stone, which was originally her mother’s brooch.

The groom appeared quite handsome and king-like in his fitted tuxedo, which included a black blazer, a bright blue vest, white button-down, grey pinstriped pants, and patterned tie.

Princess Raiyah shared photos of her royal wedding on her official Twitter account and thanked everyone for their congratulations on their matrimony. She said that the wedding was originally supposed to take place back in April in Jordon but was canceled because of the Corona outbreak. They decided to marry in England instead to ensure the safety of her husband’s family. She hopes to arrange for another wedding ceremony in Jordan when the pandemic ends.
