Items You Should Skip Putting on Your Registry List

Registry lists are not magical lists!

The registry list movement is swiping Egypt’s culture and the new concept is bringing some confusion to couples on what to exactly put on it. Wedding registries are there to help you move in your new home and life as happy newlyweds. Traditionally this couple chose what they need and want for their guests to offer to buy them for them. Although you can put whatever you want, here are some no-no items you shouldn’t put on your wedding registry list:

- Super expensive things

Don’t just include the expensive things you don’t want to buy. People will have certain budgets that need to be respected. Having only super high end item will put your guest in an uncomfortable situation and you’ll end up with little items.

- Personal things

This list is for the couple and not just one spouse’s needs. Don’t put a nice purse you want to buy yourself or a pair of jeans you think fit you. Your registry list is not a Christmas list, so make it professional and put the appropriate things. Household items are endless and are the best registry list filler.

- Things for the wedding

A big no! Never ask your guests to indirectly pay for your wedding! This comes off as needy and weird. The wedding’s budget and concerns shouldn’t fall on the guest's minds. If you can’t afford the wedding decorations maybe it’s time to re-budget.

- Trendy items

Super trendy items that will be out the window by next season are not the best idea since they’ll be useless. No matter how cool the item is, you’ll get sick of it and replace it. On your list, focus on classic necessity items that you’ll and reuse. Strategize and don’t like the new next hot thing swipe you off your feet.

- Stuff you’ll never use

Just like trendy items, if you can’t use it, don’t buy it! We all have shopping common sense, so let’s use it. Do you really need an ice cream machine? Probably not. Think of your everyday needs and update on a gadget that you already use instead of making empty purchases.
