1-Asses then set

First off, you got to know what you’re dealing with. Go get an InBody test to get a full analysis and breakdown of your weight in terms of muscle, fat, and water.

Male body goals differ from those of females because males almost always want to build more upper body muscle and get leaner while females seek to reshape the body and get a firm upper body form. Your goals can, of course, always be altered according to your shape and desire. You have one of two roads that you have to select before you get on with your journey, either you do it all yourself with the help of the internet, on which you can get answers to almost all your questions or you get help from the countless nutritionists and trainers that are available in the fitness market. Go for specialists who understand your goals and are set on getting you there.

Example:

Assessment: Low muscle mass and high levels of fat.

Setting goal: lose 5% fat and gain 10% muscle

2-Build new habits and break old ones

At times, just seeing a few of the innumerable Before & After weight loss and fitness photos is enough to get us started but it’s the idea that we let ourselves reach that “Before” state is usually what keeps haunting us because we know that no one wants to give up on themselves. But things can be much simpler if only we allow them to be. All it takes is the will to rid ourselves of our bad habits in order to adopt new good ones. Start by cutting down on your sugar intake, eating clean high-fiber foods, sleeping 8 full hours every day, having 3 meals and 2 healthy snacks a day, drinking LOTS of water, and getting off your butt more. Following these steps will definitely help you get in shape before your wedding

Example:

To break: skipping meals, smoking, adding more salt/sugar to your food

To adopt: moving more, staying hydrated, taking the stairs instead of the elevator and exercising daily

3-What works best for you

Finding out what works best for you will help you stay committed, consistent, and focused, which is guaranteed to positively and dramatically affect your mind and body. In order to find out what appeals to you and what works best, you first have to try out different forms of exercising, like going to the gym, doing yoga, taking up kickboxing, etc. These different exercises will also help you reach your goals faster and with more ease.

4-Track your progress

Your before & after doesn’t have to be as major as in those images on the internet, nevertheless, you have to always keep track of your progress in order to know where you stand, how far you’ve come, and the miles left to walk. Tracking your own progress is also motivating and inspiring, especially if you’re going on this marvelous adventure with someone that you love, someone who helps you see your goals more clearly and keeps you excited.

5- Listen to your body

Last but not least, the moment you start noticing the changes in your body, you’ll find yourself automatically making better choices. Once you forget your old lifestyle and start listening to your body, your whole life will change. We were born healthy and are meant to stay so. Listen to what your body is trying to tell you, always. If there’s something that you’re craving and dying to eat, eat it while controlling your portions. If you’ve been vigorously exercising and are in need of a break, take the day off and let your body rest. Sometimes you’ll feel like this new lifestyle is just too much to handle, you’ll crave fatty food, and you’ll definitely miss some of your bad old habits. It happens and it’s okay because the journey of getting in shape is full of ups and downs. And like Batman’s Alfred once said “Why do we fall, sir? So that we can learn to pick ourselves up.”
