You look beautiful in any way and your husband loves you irregardless of your shape but the wedding body is more than just pleasing and being liked. It’s about fitting in the dress the way you want too, looking toned and killer during your honeymoon, and overall being at a confidence level where you really love what your body is like. Getting the wedding body is arguably harder than any bikini body you have exercised for, it’s a 12 month process that requires forward thinking, preparation and thorough planning. Which is why we simplified and broke it down for you below. 

12 Months Away - Planning 

Right after you are engaged while your still preparing all the details for your wedding you should be planning all the details for your workout routine as well. Including finding a gym and a trainer you feel comfortable with, starting research on all the different workouts you want to try and how intensely you want to go with your workouts. When you would be fitting your workouts in your day, are you going to do 30 minute workouts or full hours. This is the time you should be answering all these questions and setting your workout goals. 

11 Months Away - Strength 

You have to start strong, which means you have to focus on strength building this month, whether lifting light weights or working solely off body weight, strength building is the main goal here and what you should be focusing on this month. You can get creative by trying out pole fitness or aerobics or go down the weights and gym route, it’s all up to you! 

10 Months Away - Cardio 

This is the month we keep in shape and keep all the extra weight off, this is when we start thinking about our dress and how much weight we need to loose before the wedding, which is why cardio is perfect around this time because your goals can evolve and it wouldn’t disrupt the process. 

9 - 8 Months Away - Diet 

Hopefully, by now, you met a nutritionist that put you on a diet plan, if not please do! This is important because they will help you find out all the intakes you lack and need to continue with your goal before your big day, it’s also important to factor in all the foods you need for your hair and your skin as well, as all of this plays a part in your nutrition plan.

7 - 5 Months Away - Taking Stock

At around this time you are already well into your routine and it’s part of your life, this is the time where you take stock at how far you’ve come and how close to your goals you are, it’s also the time you can switch things up a bit and bring a friend along with you. Whether it’s a bridesmaid or a regular gym buddy, this is great time to switch things up to reignite the motivation. 

5 - 3 Months Away - Abs And Hydration 

Core building and hydration upkeep alert! You are working those abs to make sure you look killer on your wedding day and honeymoon and you are drinking lots and lots of water because as we get closer to the day your skin and hair need hydration. 

1 Month To Go - Relax!
