10 Things You Don’t Want to Occur on Your Honeymoon

Large

Looking your best is the last thing you want to think about on your honeymoon, enjoying every second as a couple is a basic want on your list because you have been preparing for this trip since forever. And for that reason, you do not want to miss out on documenting every single memory. That’s why you don’t want to stumble upon any mishaps, you don’t want any missed flights, any uncalled-for incidents, an accidental pregnancy or any kind of bad vibes in front of your new partner. Do not worry, it is totally okay.

We are here to let you in on the 10 things you don’t want to happen on your honeymoon, in order to be able to have the best time:

1-  You do not want to be uncomfortable on your honeymoon:

The first two days of your honeymoon may feel uncomfortable, you just finished the hectic, never-ending wedding preparations and it is okay to take some time off to sleep, breathe in, and relax. You’re not missing out this way. If anything, you’re gaining that energy back just so you can expand it all again on all the fun you’re going to have!

2- You do not want to be sloppy:

Pack any tools or equipment that you use daily, like wax sheets if you prefer getting rid of unwanted hair regularly or your favorite set of haircare products to always keep your hair tamed.

3- You do not want to feel bored:

Prepare a playlist of your favorite shared songs and maybe bring along this book you never managed to start and ask your new hubby to do the same.

4- You do not want to make a baby on your honeymoon (Unless that's the plan):

Contraceptives, birth control pills, and condoms are a must. You do not want to go running around like a maniac looking for a pharmacy in the middle of nowhere.

5- You do not want to lose memories:

We like to save memories differently, some do it by framing photos and hanging them on walls and others do it by writing them down in their journals. That’s why you should bring along your polaroid camera or your favorite Moleskine notebook.

6- You do not want to get sick:

A running nose or an upset stomach will never be on your wishlist. Bring sunscreen to avoid sunburns, aspirin for headaches, antihistamine in case of any allergies, and pads or tampons just in case auntie red decides to drop by early.

7- You do not want to go unprepared:

Do your research on the destination you’re heading to. There’s a piece on Pinterest titled "10 Things You Should Do in Any Place in the World”, check it out! Read every article on the place you're heading to and be prepared whether with a swimsuit, a fancy dress, or a sports bra. It all depends on the destination.

8- You do not want to slow yourself down:

Humongous bags and impractical shoes slow people down and your honeymoon is neither the time nor the place to get worked up over trivial things like that, so you will not want to put on your best-looking shoes that also give you blisters and make you walk like an injured penguin. Pack your sneakers and your fanny pack to keep things going.

9- You do not want to stick to what's ordinary:

Honeymoon means new, sexy, and unpredictable. That’s why packing scorching hot lingerie and special outfits for special nights is a wonderful thing to do.

10- You do not want to be insignificant:

Eventually, the honeymoon will end and the memories will stay. Special scents help adorn great and intimate memories and that’s why you should bring along your most precious bottle of perfume, shower gel, and body lotion.

After being fully prepared for what may happen, you are guaranteed to have the best time of your life, so much so, that you will find yourself not wanting to get back from your honeymoon
